The London Borough of Hounslow is seeking a Senior Contracts Officer to lead contract management across the Children's Joint Commissioning Team. You will monitor performance, drive efficiencies and ensure alignment with the Council's plans while delivering value for money in services for children, young people and families.

Descripción del empleo

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our Children's Joint Commissioning Team. As a Senior Contracts Officer within the Team, you will play a crucial role in managing contracts to enable delivery of outcomes and key performance indicators, delivery of efficiencies, and maximising both financial and non-financial benefits. By closely monitoring contract performance and compliance, you will ensure that services align with Hounslow's Children and Young People's Plan and the One Hounslow Financial Strategy and The Councils Corporate Plan while simultaneously driving value for money. Collaborating with service providers, the Children's and Adults' Directorate, Lifelong Learning, Skills and Employment as well as the NHS West and North London ICB, your work will focus on optimising service delivery, delivering cost-effective solutions, and supporting the integration of health and social care services to improve outcomes for children, young people, and their families in Hounslow. You'll drive value for money through strategic planning, commissioning, and service redesign, working closely with Finance Teams, internal Revenue and Benefits services and external providers. About The Team You'll Be Working In The Children's Commissioning Team work closely with a range of internal Council Teams, external service providers and partners across the Health, Social Care and Education systems. The overall team leads on a range of strategic Council Priorities for Children and Young People and is made up of both a strategic and an operational functions. The team has a wide range of roles include Commissioners, Contracts Officer, Placement and Quality Assurance Officers. A key aim of the team is to support Children and Young People to achieve their best outcomes and achieve their potential, whilst simultaneously ensuring the Council achieves value for money from the services it commissions. This role will report directly to the Head of Commissioning and attend and report to various Board meetings.

  4. You have a proactive, flexible, responsive approach, always seeking to provide the highest levels of customer service.
  5. You can work autonomously and creatively, generating new ideas to improve service delivery.
  6. An ability to process and understand key legislation and duties of the local authority.
  7. You have experience of contract management, understand procurement processes and can evidence management of a portfolio of contracts.
