Qualifications

• 2-5 years of relevant industry experience, preferably with in-house legal within financial services
• Contractual and documentation negotiation experience in a large institutional setting
• Proven record of completing complex documentation within tight deadlines
• Ability to manage complex documentation with organization and detail
• Excellent interpersonal and project management skills, with ability to interact with Senior management
• Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook
• Knowledge of legal customs and financial services industry

Responsibilities

• Reviews, drafts, and negotiates contracts and required documentation for Citi
• Conduct business negotiations in a timely, thorough, and efficient manner
• Engages with institutional clients and their internal/external counsel; collaborates with Citi's teams during negotiations
• Integrates in-depth knowledge to address queries and escalates to senior attorneys as required
• Initiates communication with unresponsive customers and maintains detailed records
• Stays current on regulatory and legal issues and ensures compliance with requirements
• Identifies opportunities for projects related to regulation, process improvements or new products
• Advises Risk function and business partners on risks and documentation requirements
