  • Bachelor's degree in business or public administration or closely related field and four years of relevant public service experience with supervisory exposure.
  • Experience supervising staff and coordinating with multiple departments is preferred.
  • Four years with Pima County in a contract-related supervisory or management role may be substituted by department head approval.

Responsibilities

  • Leads development, negotiation, and execution of contracts with external vendors and stakeholders.
  • Ensures compliance with legal, financial, and performance requirements throughout the contract lifecycle.
  • Manages budget allocation, expenditures, and cost analysis while seeking efficiencies and value.
  • Develops performance metrics and reporting to assess contract outcomes and service quality.
  • Directs accounting staff on budgetary and financial tasks within the department.
