Overview

We have experienced significant recent growth and are a trusted supplier for a diversified product line supporting markets from commercial products and military customers to space research laboratories.

We are seeking a Contracts Manager with experience in commercial and government contracts of varying size and complexity. This role reports directly to the Head of Contracts and involves developing and managing contracts and subcontract agreements. The ideal candidate will have expertise in administering complex commercial and federal government contracts, including classified programs, with a thorough knowledge of the FAR, and the ability to interact effectively with customers and lead negotiations. Strong skills in analyzing complex bid and proposal tenders and excellent communication abilities are essential, as this role involves regular interaction with senior management.

Responsibilities

  1. Review and administer complex commercial and government contracts daily.
  2. Support the Bids/Proposals team by providing contract analysis and reviewing RFQ/RFPs/BAAs and other offers.
  3. Review solicitations, proposals, bids, and contract modifications, including classified programs. Analyze requirements, terms, conditions, payment terms, and risks, and negotiate contracts.
  4. Ensure contracts are reviewed, approved, and executed according to company policies.
  5. Complete representations and certifications, and handle business agreements like NDAs and Technical Assistance Agreements.
  6. Collaborate with stakeholders and customers to resolve contractual issues.
  7. Administer U.S. Government contracts and subcontracts from proposal to closeout, including MACs, GWACs, IDIQs, FFP, T&M, and Cost-Reimbursement types.
  8. Negotiate contractual terms, analyze requirements, and ensure compliance with laws and policies.
  9. Interact with Program Managers, Contracting Officers, and operational teams regularly.
  10. Communicate contract policies internally.
  11. Maintain contractual records and prepare correspondence and documentation.
  12. Handle confidential information appropriately.

  14. Report any quality issues for corrective action.
  15. Perform other duties as required to meet business needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 8+ years of contract management experience with commercial and U.S. Government contracts, including MACs, GWACs, IDIQs, FFP, T&M, and Cost-Reimbursement. Experience with CRADAs is a plus.
  • Proficiency in solicitation analysis, risk assessment, negotiation, and issue resolution.
  • Experience with U.S. Government agencies and classified programs.
  • Strong knowledge of FAR, DFARS, AFARS, NMCARS, and related regulations.
  • Experience with large prime contractors is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Understanding of ethical standards in contracting.
  • Knowledge of commercial contract terms and conditions.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently or as part of a team.
  • Motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of building trust with clients.
  • Experience drafting and negotiating subcontracts is preferred.
  • Familiarity with DCAA CAS, ITAR/EAR regulations, and compliance.
  • Ability to work across time zones, including attending early or late meetings, and willingness to travel.
  • Certified Federal Contract Manager (CFCM) is desirable.
