Position: Contracts Management Specialist 3

The Department of Economic Security, Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD), seeks an experienced, highly motivated individual to join our team. DDD provides services and supports to individuals with developmental disabilities and their families, empowering them to lead self-directed, healthy, and meaningful lives.

Eligibility and Work Arrangements

• Applicants cannot be licensed or certified by the DDD Office of Licensing Certification and Regulation.
• Applicants must not have a principal interest in or have a close family member with a principal interest in a DDD Qualified Vendor Agreement.
• This position may offer remote work within Arizona based on departmental needs and performance.

Work Environment

Retirement and Insurance

Participation in the ASRS and LTD programs begins after 27 weeks. New hires receive information on insurance plans, enrollment, and deadlines shortly after starting.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Knowledge of Arizona laws, policies, and procedures related to DES and DDD; familiarity with Title XIX and AHCCCS.
• Skills in document design, interpersonal communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritize tasks, and maintain accuracy.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in human services, public administration, legal research, or related fields, with a focus on contracting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google databases; experience in negotiation, project management, research, and analysis is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license, successful background checks, and compliance with vehicle and employment verification requirements.
