Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Director of Contracts in New Jersey to lead contract administration, review, and compliance across the organization. The role oversees a contracts team, coordinates with outside counsel, and ensures adherence to FAR/DFARS and related standards.

Ideal candidates have 8–10 years of experience in contracts, with a Bachelor's in a related field. The company offers strong benefits, 401(k), and PTO, with salary up to $180,000 per year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Eight to ten years of progressive experience in contracts administration, contract management, government contracting, procurement, or related function.
• Experience reviewing, negotiating, and administering commercial, government, customer, and supplier contract terms and conditions.
• Working knowledge of FAR, DFARS, DPAS ratings, purchase order requirements, nondisclosure agreements, representations and certifications, and supplier questionnaires.
• Experience supporting compliance-related reporting and requirements, including REACH, RoHS, Conflict Minerals, EMRT, TSCA, and rare earth minerals/elements.
• Experience with customer portals, government procurement portals, or contract management systems; Exostar and Haystack Gold preferred.
• Prior supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
• Experience supporting CMMC, CUI, or DoD supplier requirements preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review and negotiate contract terms for major customers across all business units.
• Review incoming purchase orders for negotiated terms, government requirements, DPAS, payment terms, export classifications, and FAR/DFARS.
• Perform contractual reviews for RFP, RFQ, and RFI requests; identify exceptions and negotiate terms.
• Review and approve order transmittal forms for new contract POs.
• Complete, maintain, and submit Representations and Certifications and supplier questionnaires.
• Maintain contract-related policies, procedures, records, and training requirements.
• Oversee contracts staff and day-to-day contract administration activities.
• Coordinate with outside legal counsel on contractual matters.
• Oversee execution and administration of customer and supplier NDAs.
