Job summary

Valcor Engineering Corporation seeks a Director of Contracts to lead contract administration and compliance across the organization from its Springfield, NJ headquarters. You will review and negotiate terms with customers and suppliers, support regulatory reporting, and supervise contracts staff to ensure accurate, timely execution of obligations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Contracts Management, Supply Chain, Finance, Legal Studies, or a related field.
• Eight to ten years of progressive experience in contracts administration or government contracting.
• Experience reviewing, negotiating, and administering commercial, government, and supplier contracts.
• Working knowledge of FAR, DFARS, DPAS ratings, purchase order requirements, nondisclosure agreements, representations and certifications, and supplier questionnaires.
• Experience with compliance reporting (REACH, RoHS, EMRT, TSCA, rare earth minerals/elements).
• Experience with customer portals or contract management systems; Exostar and Haystack Gold preferred.
• Supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
• Experience supporting CMMC, CUI, or DoD supplier requirements preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review and negotiate contract terms and conditions for major customers across Valcor units.
• Review incoming purchase orders for negotiated terms, government requirements, DPAS ratings, payment terms, export classifications, and FAR/DFARS requirements.
• Perform contract reviews for RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs; identify exceptions and negotiate terms that support company interests.
• Review and approve order transmittal forms for new contract purchase orders.
• Complete, maintain, and submit Representations and Certifications and supplier questionnaires as required.
• Maintain contract-related policies, procedures, records, and training requirements.
• Oversee and manage Contracts staff, including day-to-day guidance and workload support.
• Coordinate with outside legal counsel on contractual matters.
• Oversee the execution and administration of customer and supplier nondisclosure agreements.
