The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) seeks a Contract/Grants Reviewer to manage contracting and procurement for consulting engineering and related services in East Baton Rouge. The role reports to the Contract/Grants Reviewer Supervisor and requires handling advertisements, contracts, amendments, and related documents in compliance with state laws and DOTD policies.
Ideal candidates have 3 years of relevant experience or 6 years in any field or a bachelor’s degree.

This position plays a key role in the Department's contracting and procurement activities for consulting engineering and related professional services. The role oversees the preparation, processing, and administration of complex contracts and related procurement, advertising, and invoicing documents, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with applicable Louisiana laws, Civil Service rules, and DOTD policies, procedures, manuals, and directives.
The position is located in East Baton Rouge, Contract Services Sectionand report to the Contract/Grants Reviewer Supervisor.
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Depending on level and assignment, the Contract/Grants Reviewer may:
Compensation: The Contract/Grants Reviewer 1 qualifies for a Special Entrance Rate (SER) of $1,510.40 biweekly.
Additional compensation may be considered impart with extraordinary qualifications in accordance with State Civil Service Rules and DOTD policy.
Appointment Type: This position may be filled as either a probational appointment (open to all qualified applicants); a promotion (open to all statewide classified and Agency-wide permanent status employees); or by detail to special duty.
