Job summary

Langan Engineering & Environmental Services seeks a Contracts Attorney or Contract Manager to support its General Counsel and Assistant General Counsel. The role centers on professional services agreements within the A/E/C industry, with potential expansion into broader in-house duties as the department grows.

While Parsippany, NJ or New York City are preferred, candidates in other geographies will be considered.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• JD preferred; support engineering/architectural firms preferred.
• Experience with professional service agreements, subcontracts, or prime consultant agreements.
• Paralegal certificate or equivalent experience is a plus for non-lawyer candidates.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, analyze, and interpret professional services agreements and subcontract agreements.
• Prepare redlines, comments, summaries, and recommendations on contracts.
• Actively negotiate agreements with internal and external stakeholders.
• Support the General Counsel with contract tracking and process improvements.
• Assist in RFQs, certifications, disclosures, and prequalification forms.
