Responsibilities

  • Process contract requests for accuracy and completeness and route for approvals.
  • Draft, review, negotiate and execute contracts, grants, subcontracts and NDAs.
  • Draft and modify contracts: extensions, renewals, close-outs on various contract types.
  • Review supporting documents (SOWs, budgets, payment schedules).
  • Analyze contract terms and communicate key provisions to stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with teams for consistency; maintain contractual records and forms.
  • Support development of Contracts and Compliance policies and procedures.
  • Provide audit support and perform additional admin tasks as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job description

Under the direct supervision of the Contracts and Compliance Manager, this person will be responsible for coordinating cradle-to-grave contractual support to the organization. This includes drafting contractual agreements and contractual correspondence, contracts and grants record keeping, filing, database management, and general administrative and office support to the Contracts and Compliance Team.

Responsibilities
  • Process contract requests by reviewing for accuracy and completeness, routing and tracking internal approvals in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Draft, review, negotiate and execute a wide variety of contractual documents, such as contracts, grants, subcontracts/subawards, teaming agreements, memoranda of understanding, consulting agreements, and nondisclosure agreements, data sharing agreements for programs funded by federal, state, direct service and associations, and private sponsors.
  • Draft, review, negotiate and execute contract modifications and amendments, extensions, renewals and close-outs on a varied portfolio of cost reimbursement, fixed price, cost-plus-fixed-fee, time and materials, labor rate contracts, grants, and consulting agreements.
  • Contribute to the review of contracts supporting documents (e.g. SOW’s, budget’s, payment schedules).
  • Review and analyze contract requirements, special provisions, terms and conditions and flow downs, under the direction of the Contracts and Compliance Manager, and communicate critical terms to all relevant parties.
  • Coordinate with other team members throughout the organization for consistency in approach and review of all contracts.
  • Update and maintain records in compliance with contractual requirements and organizational policies and procedures including; certificates of insurance, audit reports, supporting documentation and forms.
  • Support the development and implementation of Contracts and Compliance policies and procedures.
  • Provide audit support and other administrative tasks, as needed.
  • Other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of relevant experience required. Experience working with the federal government is required. Experience working with research organizations a plus. Microsoft Office Suite: advanced knowledge in Word, Excel, and Power Point required. Excellent verbal and written communication and negotiation skills. Strong organization skills, attention to detail, problem solving and trouble shooting skills (monitor, identify, analyze, research, evaluate, resolve) and the ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Self-starter, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments. Ability to maintain effective working relationships with internal clients.
