Job summary

Intervala in Mount Pleasant, PA, is seeking a Contracts and Compliance Manager to lead the contract lifecycle and export controls. You will supervise drafting, negotiation, and administration of complex agreements while ensuring adherence to ITAR/EAR and related regulations.

This role partners with engineering, operations, and legal to identify risks, manage compliance programs, and implement efficient processes; 5+ years of experience required. Bachelor’s degree required.

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant contracts and compliance experience with ITAR/EAR.
• Strong knowledge of FAR/DFAR, ITAR, and export control laws.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead the proposal, negotiation, and management of complex contracts and agreements.
• Collaborate across teams and with outside counsel to drive contracts to closure.
• Review and interpret contractual terms for compliance with flow-down and quality requirements.
• Oversee import/export compliance including ITAR, EAR, FAR/DFAR regulatory adherence.
• Determine product/technology classification with engineering and operations teams.
• Prepare and submit import/export licenses with the Department of State and Department of Commerce.
• Maintain and enhance export compliance programs and training.
• Monitor regulatory updates and industry trends to ensure ongoing compliance.
• Track and manage all contracts for accuracy, security, and renewals.
• Develop automated workflows to streamline contract management.

We’re looking for an experienced Contracts and Compliance Manager to lead and support all aspects of contract management and trade compliance at Intervala. In this role, you’ll oversee the preparation, negotiation, and administration of contracts while ensuring our company stays compliant with domestic and international trade regulations. This position plays a key role in protecting our business interests and supporting our continued growth in a fast-moving industry.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the proposal, negotiation, and management of complex contracts and agreements.
• Collaborate across teams, customers, and outside counsel to drive contracts to closure efficiently.
• Review and interpret contractual terms, ensuring compliance with applicable flow-down and quality requirements.
• Oversee import/export compliance, ensuring adherence to ITAR, EAR, FAR/DFAR, and other regulations.
• Determine appropriate jurisdiction and classification of products and technologies in coordination with engineering and operations teams.
• Prepare and submit import/export licenses and authorizations with the Department of State and Department of Commerce.
• Maintain and enhance company export compliance programs, policies, and employee training.
• Monitor regulatory updates and industry trends to ensure ongoing compliance.
• Track and manage all contracts to ensure accuracy, security, and timely renewals.
• Develop automated workflows and tools to streamline contract management processes.
• Communicate contract terms and risk considerations clearly to internal stakeholders.

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant contracts and compliance experience, including hands‑on work with ITAR and EAR regulations.
• Strong knowledge of FAR/DFAR, ITAR, and export control laws.
• Excellent communication skills—able to explain complex legal and compliance topics clearly.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to identify risks and inconsistencies.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with sound business judgment.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
