Job summary

Jobtailor in Missouri seeks an in-house counsel to serve as the first point of contact for legal requests of the business division, triage routine matters, and escalate complex issues to senior counsel. You will draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts including NDAs, data license agreements, technology licenses, MSAs, SOWs, and SaaS agreements.

Qualifications

• 0-3 years' experience as a legal counsel with commercial, contracts and general legal experience from a law firm or in-house.
• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
• Demonstrated experience reviewing, drafting, and negotiating agreements.
• Hard-working, pragmatic, business-oriented mindset and good judgement.
• Ability to counsel internal clients with clear, concise, and practical advice and suggest solutions within established timelines.
• Ability to operate autonomously while being a supportive and responsive team player.
• Positive attitude and collaborative approach with the legal team.
• Admission to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction preferred.
• Knowledge of licensing contracts and data privacy laws preferred.
• Exposure to advertising, consumer protection, and marketing laws, including UDAP principles and CAN-SPAM, and/or FTC enforcement trends preferred.
