Job Summary

Under the direction of the Director of Purchasing, the Contracts Analyst determines procurement methods, formulation, preparation and finalization of bids, contracts, license agreements, service agreements, maintenance agreements, and equipment leases.

Requirements / Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in business, accounting, finance, public administration, or a related field and a minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible professional experience in purchasing, procurement, and contracting for goods and services.
• Public agency experience is preferred, but not required.
• California public school district experience is highly desirable.

Examination process: Completed applications are reviewed and candidates who meet the minimum qualifications participate in an examination process. Exam components may consist of a Performance Exam (weighted at 50%) and a Qualifications Appraisal Interview (weighted at 50%). The competitive basis for this recruitment is Open/Promotional - Dual Certification. Candidates who pass all exams are placed on an eligibility list in order of overall exam score. The list is used to fill current and future vacancies for six months. The job posting will open until an eligibility list is established.
