Opportunity

This opportunity supports global Geoscience contracting activity within a refinery and chemical complex environment, covering geophysical and geotechnical scopes across the purchase-to-pay process. The role focuses on maximising agreement value, developing contracting strategies, and delivering commercial outcomes through competitive bids, negotiations, and supplier relationship management. This position offers strong exposure to upstream oil and gas procurement, contract portfolio ownership, and stakeholder collaboration in a technically demanding setting.

Requirements
  • BS in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or another relevant Business or Engineering degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 10 years of Supply Chain experience, preferably in Procurement/Purchasing, including contracting, sourcing, or buying.
  • Experience managing contract portfolios across the full purchase-to-pay process, from strategy through implementation.
  • Experience executing competitive bids, negotiations, auctions, renewals, and related sourcing activity.
  • Experience working with stakeholders and suppliers to implement contracts in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Strong procurement and purchasing capability, with the ability to develop and maintain contracts within a technical portfolio.
  • Experience using Ariba Suite, DocuSign, or similar platforms for bid events and contract documentation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with sound judgement.
  • Ability to negotiate effectively and influence internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships and collaborate across teams.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Capability to identify business value, rationalisation opportunities, contract leakage, overheads, and third-party markups.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Upstream oil and gas experience, with preference for exposure to geoscience, geotechnical, or seismic domains.
  • Category knowledge in Drilling and Exploration, Rigs, Upstream Operations, Geoscience, Capital Projects, or Buying.
  • Knowledge of requisition and purchase-to-pay processes.
  • Knowledge of total system cost models and procurement methods such as RFIs, RFQs, competitive bids, and auctions.
  • Experience with enterprise resource planning systems such as GEP or SAP.
  • Project planning and execution experience.
  • International business experience.
