Job summary

QinetiQ US is seeking a Contracts Administrator to join our team. The role reports to the Director of Contracts and focuses on enhancements, process improvements, and templates, plus pre/post-award support.

The successful candidate will handle cradle-to-grave contracts, negotiate NDAs and teamings, and ensure compliance with FAR/DFAR while supporting program management and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 3+ years leading T&M, FFP, and cost reimbursable contracts.
  • Ability to identify and mitigate risks in contractual language.
  • Understanding of FAR; willingness to research agency supplements.

Responsibilities

  • Cradle to grave contract administration including NDAs and team agreements.
  • Negotiate and finalize Government contract agreements and post-award management.
  • Provide program management support aligned with contract requirements and company goals.
  • Interpret FAR/DFAR and other agency clauses; advise management on risk.
  • Support multiple contracts and internal customers efficiently.
  • Assess Government RFP requirements and propose solutions to contractual challenges.
  • Maintain a high volume of contract actions and communications.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain and Subcontracts when needed.

Position Overview

QinetiQ is seeking a Contracts Administrator to join our team!

The successful candidate will report directly to the Director of Contracts. This individual will have experience making enhancements and/or creating existing processes, procedures and templates, delivering internal training for key stakeholders, as needed, and supporting pre and post‑award actions.

Responsibilities
  • Cradle to grave contracts administration including but not limited to preparing and negotiating nondisclosure agreements and teaming agreements;
  • Negotiating, and finalizing Government contract agreements providing post award contract management and administration;
  • Support and drive program management support that stay consistent with contract requirements and company goals;
  • Understand mandatory flowdowns when it comes to FAR/DFAR and other agency clauses;
  • Capable of supporting multiple contracts and internal customers;
  • Able to understand Government RFP requirements, advise management on potential risk;
  • Negotiate and administer a high volume of contract actions;
  • Effectively communicate issues and propose solution(s) to solving contractual challenges;
  • Performs other duties, including special projects, associated with this position, as assigned by management;
  • Support Supply Chain and Subcontracts as an advisor when necessary;
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance;
Required Qualifications
  • A bachelor’s degree is required.
  • 3+ years of experience in leading T&M, FFP, and cost reimbursable efforts related to: contracts proposal support, contract development, negotiation, and management, including identifying applicable prime contract flow down clauses and assisting with the creation of documentation and files.
  • Must have strong critical thinking skills and ability to identify, communicate and mitigate risks in contractual language.
  • Strategic understanding of how the contracts function contributes to program success through successful negotiation, strong customer relationships and proactive contract management.
  • Must be familiar with the FAR and be willing to research agency supplements, as appropriate.
  • Must be proactive and put in effort to stay up to date on Federal Regulatory requirements.
  • Must have good communications skills for internal, external customers.
  • Must be familiar with negotiating NDAs and TAs.
  • Must be organized, detail oriented, and demonstrate strong time management and critical thinking skills and be able to coordinate and prioritize multiple projects with limited supervision in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Must have the ability to research issues and to propose innovative alternatives to solving challenges.
  • Must have excellent MS Word and MS Excel skills.
Pay Transparency

The salary range for this role is $86,100- $105,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. QinetiQ US considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
