Job summary

The Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) at the University of Washington is seeking a Contractor Special Security Representative to lead daily security operations and ensure compliance with SCI and related programs.

You will translate complex government requirements into practical actions, advise researchers and engineers, and maintain SCIF readiness while coordinating with government security personnel for inspections and reviews.

Qualifications

• Experience administering SCI/SAP and comparable security programs.
• Substitutions permitted for education/experience, where allowed.
• Familiar with ICD and DoD security requirements and government systems.

Responsibilities

• Operate day-to-day Compartmented Security Program activities.
• Apply security policies and translate requirements into actions.
• Advise researchers and staff on security matters.
• Maintain SCIF readiness and coordinate access for classified meetings.
• Conduct self-inspections and risk assessments.
• Deliver security training and support government-facing reviews.
