Job summary

Husqvarna Construction Products North America, Inc. seeks a Contractor Direct District Sales Manager to drive profitable sales across Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio. You will maintain current customers, develop new ones, and expand market share through strategic account management and cross-selling.

The role requires 3+ years of sales experience, expert product knowledge, and proficiency with CRM and MS Office. Expect 60–75% travel by car and residence in the territory.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve monthly sales budget and forecast accurately for the territory.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key decision makers.
  • Test tooling and equipment with potential and existing customers.
  • Create strategies to gain market share and drive sales growth.
  • Provide and coordinate technical support and training as needed.
  • Maintain CRM records and manage expense reports.

Job description

Last date to apply: We are continuously accepting applications The Contractor Direct District Sales Manager for Husqvarna Construction is responsible for generating profitable sales within the relevant channel through maintenance of existing customer base, development of new customers, and growing market share. This position is critical for ensuring our competitive advantage by driving territory sales growth. The territory for this position is Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio.

Responsibilities
  • Achieve monthly sales budget
  • Manage accurate forecast for responsible territory and channel
  • Effectively execute a basket selling approach to become sole/primary supplier within our served product categories
  • Maintain a detailed understanding of current and potential market share as well as competitive position within the territory
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key decision makers and influencers within key customers
  • Test tooling and equipment to both potential and existing customers
  • Responsible for market awareness regarding competitors in their territory
  • Create strategies to gain market share
  • Continuously develop customer focused selling and sales excellence skills
After Sales
  • Provide and coordinate technical support and training to customers as needed
  • Nurture relationships as business partners with both internal and external customers
  • Conduct comprehensive business reviews with customers and internally to ensure sales growth plan results
  • Monitor consistency of diamond tool and equipment performance, elevate findings to Product Market Management team
  • Address customer issues (internal and external) in a timely manner
Administration
  • Maintain accurate CRM
  • Manage expense reports according to guidelines and in a timely fashion
  • Maintain car stock reconciliation according to policy
  • Communicate with various internal departments as necessary
As the ideal candidate you have:
  • Working knowledge of HCP business processes
  • Expert level in product and application knowledge within relevant categories
  • Competency in full range of product categories to identify leads and create cross selling opportunities
  • Proficiency in CRM, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Strong Technical Ability
  • Strong knowledge of CFS (Customer Focused Sales)
  • 3+ years' experience in Sales required
  • HS Diploma or equivalent required
  • BS in Business Admin or other applicable degree preferred
  • Overnight travel 60-75% of the time, most often (90%) by car
  • Must reside in the territory
