Job summary

Mindful Measures seeks an experienced Texas-certified Special Education Teacher to deliver services at a K-5 campus. This contracted, 1099 position covers resource/pull-out and inclusion support with IEP/ARD responsibilities.

Responsibilities include implementing IEP goals, collecting progress data, and coordinating with the campus case manager on PLAAFPs and annual goals. The role is on-site during school hours with pay hourly, dependent on credentials and experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Current Texas Special Education teaching certification.
• Experience providing SPED services in resource/pull-out and inclusion settings.
• Experience writing PLAAFPs and measurable IEP goals.
• Experience drafting IEPs and participating in ARD meetings.
• Strong organization, communication, and documentation skills.

Mindful Measures is seeking an experienced Texas-certified Special Education Teacher to provide services at an elementary (K-5) school campus. This is a contracted position ideal for an educator who is confident providing both resource/pull-out instruction and inclusion support and has experience with the IEP and ARD process.

The Special Education Teacher will provide direct academic services according to a schedule established by the campus while also collaborating with the campus case manager to support progress monitoring, IEP development, and ARD preparation.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide academic resource/pull-out instruction to students receiving special education services
• Provide inclusion support within general education classrooms
• Implement IEP goals, accommodations, modifications, and specially designed instruction
• Follow student service minutes and the instructional schedule provided by the campus
• Collect and maintain data related to student progress and IEP goals
• Assist the campus case manager with development of PLAAFPs, measurable annual goals, and draft IEPs
• Participate in ARD/IEP meetings as needed
• Collaborate professionally with general education teachers, special education staff, related service providers, and campus administration
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation in accordance with campus and special education requirements

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
• Current Texas Special Education teaching certification
• Experience providing special education services in resource/pull-out and inclusion settings
• Demonstrated experience writing PLAAFPs and measurable IEP goals
• Experience drafting IEPs and participating in ARD meetings
• Strong organization, communication, and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with campus staff

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree
• Previous elementary special education experience
• Experience using Frontline Special Education Management or a similar IEP management system

Position Details

This is a 1099 independent contractor position through Mindful Measures. Services will be provided on an elementary school campus during school hours according to a schedule established in collaboration with the campus. Contractors should be comfortable working independently while functioning as a collaborative member of the campus special education team. Pay is on an hourly rate, ranging from $30-40/hour commensurate with credentials and experience.
