Job summary

LexisNexis Risk Solutions is seeking a Contract Specialist to identify and engage contract workers and small businesses providing public record data services. You will negotiate terms, support procurement strategies, and manage contracts with service providers, serving as SME on court processes.

The role requires 3–5 years in a related field, a Bachelor’s degree, and strong negotiation, drafting, and relationship-building skills. Location in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work experience.
• 3–5 years of experience in vendor management, strategic sourcing, or supplier relationships.
• Understanding of negotiation theory and sourcing concepts, strategies, and practices.
• Strong business and financial acumen, including structuring deals and drafting agreements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, analytical and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategies to establish and sustain a service-provider network for public record data and related services.
• Identify and implement cost-containment and cost-reduction strategies.
• Manage procurement processes for contract workers, independent contractors, and small businesses, including RFIs, RFPs, RFBs, bid vetting, negotiations, and contract awards.
• Draft, administer, and manage contracts with SLAs.
• Serve as the primary communications contact between internal stakeholders and service providers.
• Monitor provider performance against SLAs and address non-compliance.
• Manage renewals, renegotiations, recertifications, cancellations, and breach-of-contract processes.
• Act as SME on court systems and procedures, and build relationships with government entities.
• Resolve court-access issues and identify process improvements.
• Maintain state-, county-, and court-specific collection information with templates.
• Foster cross-functional collaboration across departments.
• Travel up to 5%.
