Job summary

RELX LexisNexis Risk Solutions is seeking a Contract Specialist to drive service-provider networks for public record data and document acquisition. You will negotiate terms, manage contracts, and support procurement strategies while maintaining strong relationships with government entities and internal stakeholders.

The role requires experience in vendor management or strategic sourcing, plus an understanding of negotiation theory, risk mitigation, and deal drafting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work experience.
• Three to five years of experience in a related role such as vendor management or strategic sourcing is preferred.
• Understanding of negotiation theory and sourcing concepts, strategies, and practices.
• Strong business and financial acumen including structuring deals, drafting agreements, mitigating risk, and negotiating.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategies to establish and sustain a service-provider network for public record data and related services.
• Identify and implement cost-containment and cost-reduction strategies.
• Manage procurement processes for contract workers, independent contractors, and small businesses, including RFIs, RFPs, RFx, bid vetting, negotiations, and contract awards.
• Draft, administer, and manage contracts, ensuring SLAs are met.
• Serve as the main contact between internal stakeholders and service providers.
• Monitor provider performance against SLAs and address non-compliance.
• Manage contract renewal, renegotiation, and breach-of-contract processes.
• Build relationships with government entities and resolve court-access issues.
• Identify process improvements and maintain collection information templates.
