Job summary

Zurich Insurance Company Ltd. in Atlanta seeks an Underwriting Specialist or Executive Underwriter – Contract Surety to join our North America team. You will underwrite and analyze accounts, market externally, and manage relationships with brokers to deliver high-quality service.

The role targets specialists with strong knowledge of Surety lines, regulatory guidelines, and Microsoft Office, with travel about 25%. Hybrid work in ATL is offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent with 3+ years in underwriting or market facing work.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent with 6+ years in claims or underwriting support.
• Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice with an Associate Degree and 1+ years in underwriting or market facing area.
• Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice with an Associate Degree and 4+ years in claims or underwriting support.
• Knowledge of Surety line/s of business and the legal and regulatory guidelines.
• Knowledge of time restraints for quotes on new and renewal business.
• Experience with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Production and underwriting of new Surety accounts and existing business.
• Internal marketing and production within Zurich North America in support of cross-sell efforts.
• Execution of the external marketing strategy.
• Establish new as well as develop existing agency and broker relationships.
• Working within limits and authorities on assignments of varying degrees of complexity.
