Job summary

The Fannin County School System is seeking a Non-Instructional Student Aide contracted for 7 hours per day. This on-site role is non-benefit eligible and paid monthly via accounts payable.

You will supervise students across school environments, assist with personal care needs, support with meals, monitor medical conditions, and work closely with administrators, teachers, students, and parents. Regular attendance on-site during school hours is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work with administrators, teachers, students, and parents.
• Aptitude for successful completion of tasks assigned.
• Alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable

Responsibilities

• Work across all school environments to provide additional supervision of students.
• Assist with students' personal care needs, such as toileting/diapering and other hygiene needs, changing clothes, carrying and distributing materials, assisting with meals, monitoring and assisting with medical conditions, lifting and moving students, cleaning/wiping down areas to ensure sanitation standards as required for safe school environments, etc.
• Work cooperatively with all school personnel to enhance the school's overall quality.
• Informing the appropriate school staff of all potential problems regarding student needs
• Maintain confidentiality.
• Engage in activities that promote professional growth.
• Required to have prompt, regular, in-person attendance and be available to work on-site, in-person during regular school hours
• Perform other duties as needed and assigned by the Principal or designee.
• Demonstrate prompt and in person attendance
