Job summary

Instrument is seeking a Strategy Director to provide senior strategic leadership across digital, brand, and marketing work for a leading technology client.

This highly client-facing role requires building trust quickly, guiding multiple workstreams, and shaping both the work in progress and future opportunities with cross-disciplinary teams. Based on the West Coast, 40 hours/week, ASAP through December 23, with potential extension.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading strategy for complex, high-visibility client relationships.
• Robust UX and product strategy foundation across product, brand and marketing.
• Strong SaaS and/or B2B experience with enterprise platforms or technical products.
• Exceptional client presence and facilitation with senior stakeholders.
• Systems thinker who manages multiple workstreams while keeping customer and business in view.
• Clear, compelling communicator for narratives, sessions and recommendations.
• Experience turning ambiguity into aligned action across disciplines.
• Experience supporting proposals, pitches, or account-growth conversations.
• Curiosity about emerging technology and AI with sound judgment.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy across digital product, brand, marketing and experience work.
• Partner with senior client stakeholders—framing decisions and guiding POVs.
• Bring UX/product strategy rigor to translate insight into direction for teams.
• Guide work from discovery through recommendations, delivery and iteration.
• Collaborate with design, technology, production, and accounts for coherence.
• Develop clear narratives and decision frameworks to make ideas actionable.
• Support proposals and growth opportunities across tech and commerce.
• Help teams navigate fast-moving priorities while maintaining quality.
