Job summary

Nintendo Technology Development in Redmond, WA is seeking an experienced SDET to build and maintain automated tests and tooling for low-level, concurrent software. You will develop, run, and improve tests for Nintendo systems and work across engineering teams to ensure reliability.

The role requires 5+ years of related experience, strong knowledge of C and Modern C++, and deep understanding of software quality, testing methodologies, and multithreaded programming on Windows, Linux, and embedded

Qualifications

  • Solid understanding of software quality and test automation.
  • Experience with concurrent programming and low-level systems and developing multithreaded software
  • Strong bug-fixing and triage skills with knowledge of software testing methodologies and software quality assurance processes.
  • Clear communication and cross-team collaboration with the ability to solve hard problems creatively.
  • Proficient with fundamental computer science data structures and algorithms in C & Modern C++
  • Building and running software in Windows, Linux and embedded systems
  • Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.

Responsibilities

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES
  • Build and maintain automated tests and SDET-style tooling.

SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS
  • 5+ years related experience.
  • Solid understanding of software quality and test automation.
  • Experience with concurrent programming and low-level systems and developing multithreaded software
  • Strong bug-fixing and triage skills with knowledge of software testing methodologies and software quality assurance processes.
  • Clear communication and cross-team collaboration with the ability to solve hard problems creatively.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
  • Experience with compilers and optimization pipelines and a background in debugger internals.
  • Knowledge of GPU/graphics engineering (Vulkan, DirectX or OpenGL).
  • Ensure quality of modern C++ systems (C++20/23/26) across compilers, debuggers, graphics, and emulation and virtualization.

Pay range: $69.78 — $125.57 USD
