Job summary

Navra is seeking a Middle School Special Education Teacher in a contract role with renewal possible in a Chicago-area school. The position involves co-teaching 7th grade ELA and Math in an inclusive setting, serving 10 students, and providing instruction aligned to IEP goals.

Candidates must hold an active LBS1 license and be eligible to work in the U.S. New graduates are welcome to apply and benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, with weekly pay and licensure reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Active LBS1 teaching license/certification (required).
• Experience supporting students with reading and/or math IEP goals in inclusive or co-taught settings (preferred).
• Strong collaboration, communication, and IEP implementation skills.
• Ability to work in the U.S. without a sponsor.
• New graduates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Co-teach 7th grade ELA and Math in an inclusive classroom setting.
• Support a caseload of 10 students (5 in ELA, 5 in Math).
• Provide specially designed instruction and accommodations aligned with IEP goals.
• Collaborate with general and special educators, families, and staff to support progress.
• Monitor student performance and maintain required documentation.
• Contribute to IEP development and implementation.
• Promote student access and participation with general education peers.
