Job summary

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a Special Education Teacher specializing in Math to support middle school students in Washington in a contract role from early September through early June, with about 37.5 hours per week in a collaborative, resource-rich setting.

You will plan and adapt Math instruction, develop IEPs, monitor progress, and work with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and families to create an inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Valid Washington State SPED teaching certification.
• ESA credential required.
• Experience with students with mild to moderate disabilities preferred.
• Strong background in middle school Math education.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Dedication to IEP implementation and progress monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver, and adapt Math instruction within a resource setting.
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Assess student abilities and track progress regularly.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and families.
• Provide accommodations tailored to each student's needs.
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with district and state requirements.
• Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment.
