Responsibilities

  • Review RFPs, perform risk assessment, negotiate contracts.
  • Administer and manage contracts per policies and legal requirements.
  • Analyze material estimates, costs, requirements, and schedules for accuracy.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams for proposals and approvals.
  • Negotiate terms with commercial, international, and US Government customers.
  • Lead change management processes and advise on contractual rights.
  • Present information clearly to management.

Contract Specialist

Position Summary

Anchor Innovation, Inc. (Anchor) is seeking an experienced Contract Specialist to support the administration and management of our government contracts. This position will work closely with management, program managers, finance, and other internal teams to help ensure contracts are properly administered, documented, and maintained in accordance with contractual requirements and company procedures.

The ideal candidate has prior experience working with U.S. Government contracts, understands federal contracting requirements and terminology, and is highly organized and detail-oriented. Experience with Deltek Costpoint is a plus.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for RFP review and risk assessment, proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities for assigned contracts/programs
  • Provides proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer requirements
  • Analyzes material estimates, equipment services, production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Works with cross-functional team to prepare proposals and approvals
  • Prepares and conducts negotiations
  • Ability to think critically, problem solve and work independently
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and work in a team environment
  • Ability to multi-task and determine priorities while working on multiple assignments
  • Ability to negotiate contract terms and conditions with commercial, international and US Government customers
  • Champions change management process with internal and external team
  • Advises management of contractual rights and obligations
  • Ability to clearly present information to broad audience, inclusive of management
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Or, Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
  • 6-10 years’ experience in Contracts management.
  • Project Management experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • MS Office Suite Proficiency
  • NCMA Certification
  • Strong communication skills
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Contract Management, Finance, Accounting, or a related field preferred.
  • Relevant government contract administration experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • 2-5 years of government contracting or contract administration experience preferred.
