Job summary

WakeMed is seeking a Contract Specialist responsible for analyzing and processing contracts related to supplies and services. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree and relevant experience, preferably in healthcare, and will contribute to improving community health through effective contract management.

Qualifications

  • 3 years of related position experience required with a Bachelor's Degree.
  • 5 years with an Associate's Degree; or 7 years with a High School Diploma.
  • Healthcare experience preferred.

Job description

The Contract Specialist is responsible for analyzing major contracts for supplies, equipment, and services. They prepare contract analysis of WakeMed's GPO contracts, Regional Alliance contracts, and local and custom contracts. The role involves processing and procuring capital requests and contracts related to such purchases. The Contract Specialist also serves as a backup for other Contract Specialists.

Eligible remote states include NC, FL, GA, SC, SD, TN, TX, and VA.

Licensure

Certified Purchasing Professional or Certified Supply Chain Professional preferred.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Management, Communication, or a related field preferred; or Associate's Degree in Management, Communication, or a related field preferred; or High School Diploma or equivalent required, with equivalent experience.

Experience

3 years of related position experience required with a Bachelor's Degree; 5 years with an Associate's Degree; or 7 years with a High School Diploma. Healthcare experience preferred.
