Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking a seasoned Contracts Manager to support procurement, contract administration, and vendor negotiations from Houston, TX. The role involves handling service agreements, software licenses, and complex term analysis, with close collaboration with Legal and Insurance teams.

You will lead contract-related projects, manage deadlines, and contribute to audits while guiding junior staff and ensuring compliance across enterprise-wide agreements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 7–10 years in contract management or administration.
• Experience with multiple supply chain/procurement contracts.
• Knowledge of industrial and services contracts.

Responsibilities

• Review and administer many supply chain and procurement contracts, including service agreements, consulting contracts, software licenses, and equipment rentals.
• Collaborate with Legal and Insurance teams to negotiate vendor terms and ensure internal approval compliance.
• Analyze complex contract terms such as warranty, indemnity, liability, and insurance.
• Support corporate and plant partners from contract initiation through completion; respond promptly to requests.
• Manage contract files, draft amendments, track deadlines, and prepare audit documentation.
• Participate in acquisition and divestiture activities; oversee Statements of Work and IST/Administrative Services contracts.

About the role:

Houston, TX

Review and administer many supply chain and procurement contracts, including service agreements, consulting contracts, software licenses, and equipment rentals. Collaborate with Legal and Insurance teams to negotiate vendor terms, manage language changes, and ensure compliance with internal approval processes. Experienced in analyzing complex contract terms such as warranty, indemnity, liability, and insurance. Support corporate and plant partners from contract initiation through completion, responding to requests promptly. Manage contract files and databases, draft amendments, track deadlines, ensure compliance, and prepare documentation for audits. Participate in acquisition and divestiture activities and oversee Statements of Work and contracts tied to IST and Administrative Services. This position is based in Houston, TX and you will report to the Sr. Director of Contracts and Supplier Diversity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Apply broad and in-depth knowledge of contract management and procurement to support complex projects.
• Resolve advanced contractual and operational issues using wide-ranging technical expertise.
• Operate at a high level across several areas, serving as an advanced contributor.
• Make informed decisions on complex and often ambiguous matters related to contract execution, compliance, and risk mitigation.
• Recommend improvements to contract processes to enhance efficiency and reduce exposure.
• Lead research into external innovations and industry best practices, identifying opportunities to improve internal systems and services.
• Manage and contribute to complex projects, determining appropriate methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria.
• Define procedures for new assignments and ensure understanding of organizational goals and compliance standards.
• Be the project or technical lead on medium to large-scale projects, coordinating efforts across departments and external team members.
• Mentor team members on technical skills, contract procedures, and compliance standards to build internal capability.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required. Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in contract management and/or administration, or equivalent education.
• Previous knowledge of multiple supply chain/procurement contracts required.
• Experience with Industrial and Services Contracts
