Requirements

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Qualifications

• Serving as a Contract Specialist managing moderately complex procurement actions with increasing autonomy, from acquisition planning through closeout, under the guidance of a senior specialist or Contracting Officer.
• Assisting in the development of acquisition plans, solicitation documents, and negotiation objectives for more complex requirements.
• Performing cost and price analysis on a variety of contractor proposals and supporting lead negotiators in contract discussions.
• Gaining experience in post-award functions, such as tracking contractor performance, reviewing invoices, and drafting contract modifications for review.
• 5.Increasingly serving as a point of contact for program offices and contractors on less complex contractual matters.
