CELLA in Framingham, MA is seeking a contract Soft Home Designer to develop original soft home artwork for adult and kids product lines. The role is hybrid, requiring on-site presence 3–4 days per week, with a contract through late January 2027. You will collaborate with product development from concept to prototype and stay ahead of home design trends.

Ideal candidates have a design degree, 3+ years in textile/surface design, strong Illustrator/Photoshop skills, and a compelling portfolio.

• Bachelor's degree in Design, Surface Design, Illustration, Graphic Design, or equivalent.
• 3+ years of product development experience in textile, surface design, or soft home goods.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop required.
• Strong interest in home product trends and color theory.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute soft home artwork and surface designs for product programs using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Collaborate with the Product Development team throughout the full design lifecycle, from concept meetings through artwork execution and prototyping.
• Select seasonal color palettes and apply knowledge of market trends, color, and competitive brands to product designs.
• Translate conceptual ideas into production-ready artwork and manage multiple projects with strong organization.
• Work closely within a team to ensure alignment on product vision and deliverables.

This role focuses on designing and developing original soft home artwork for both adult and kids' product lines. It offers a hands-on experience in bringing conceptual design ideas to life alongside a collaborative product development team.This is a hybrid role requiring on-site presence 3 - 4 days per week in Framingham, MA.
