Job summary

ProCare Therapy is seeking a contract Speech-Language Pathologist to work with grades 5–8 in an educational setting. Begin as soon as possible with a mid-November 2026 end date, offering long-term stability and weekly pay.

You will assess, plan, and implement language therapy programs, collaborating with teachers and families to support student growth. Eligible candidates hold an active Illinois SLP license and CCC or CFY status, with strong preferences for prior school experience and knowledge

Qualifications

• Active Illinois SLP License required.
• ASHA CCC or CFY status.
• Experience working in a school setting preferred.
• Solid understanding of speech, language, and communication disorders in school-aged children.
• Compassionate, collaborative, and organized approach to therapy.

Responsibilities

• Provide speech and language therapy services to students in grades 5–8.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans based on student needs.
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to maximize student success.
• Conduct assessments, write IEPs, and document student progress.
• Support the overall communication environment within the school community.
• Participate in IEP meetings and interdisciplinary team discussions.
