Job summary

ProCare Therapy is seeking a contract school psychologist to support students in the New Roads, LA area. You will collaborate with educators and families to ensure social, emotional, and academic guidance for students to thrive.

You will perform psychological and academic evaluations, contribute to IEP development, provide counseling, and support behavior with data-driven plans. Strong communication and a student-centered mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in School Psychology from an accredited program.
• Valid state licensure or eligibility as a school psychologist.
• Experience in school settings and IEP processes is highly valued.
• Exceptional communication with students, staff, and parents.

Responsibilities

• Perform psychological and academic evaluations to identify students strengths and needs.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop support strategies.
• Participate in creation and review of IEPs.
• Offer counseling and crisis intervention for students as needed.
• Support positive student behavior through data-driven plans and interventions.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation for all services.
• Advise staff on best practices for inclusive, supportive learning environments.
