Job summary

ProCare Therapy seeks a school psychologist to support students' well-being and academic growth in a collaborative educational setting. You will conduct evaluations, provide counseling, and help develop IEPs to foster student success.

Work with educators and families, apply current best practices, and maintain confidential records. This contract role emphasizes advocacy, resilience, and positive school climate across diverse student backgrounds.

Qualifications

• Valid certification or licensure as a school psychologist.
• Experience working in school settings preferred.
• Strong understanding of psychological assessments and IEP process.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Empathy, discretion, and passion for helping students of diverse backgrounds.
• Familiarity with current educational and psychological best practices.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations to identify students learning, behavioral, or emotional needs.
• Provide direct counseling and intervention for students individually or in small groups.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement effective intervention plans.
• Participate in student support team meetings and provide guidance in developing IEPs.
• Counsel students facing academic, personal, or social challenges.
• Deliver professional recommendations to staff and families regarding student support.
• Maintain accurate and confidential student records in compliance with regulations.
• Promote a positive school climate and cultivate students coping skills and resilience.
