Job summary

Tampa General Hospital, a Magnet-designated hospital, is seeking a Contract Registered Nurse for the Med/Surg unit to work night shifts. The role focuses on delivering comprehensive patient care across the life span, with emphasis on accurate documentation and adherence to nursing standards.

Requirements include Florida RN license, BSN, BLS/ACLS, and a minimum of 1 year Med/Surg experience. This is a contract assignment with potential for extension or conversion to permanent employment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Florida.
• BSN and BLS/ ACLS with American Heart Association required.
• National Certification preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year in relevant Med/Surg Division.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care to patients throughout the life span (neonatal to geriatric).
• Plan and implement nursing care; document assessments and plans; ensure patient rights.
• Provide professional nursing care to patients in areas covered by the Specialty Staffing Team.
• Perform duties in alignment with Tampa General Hospital's mission, vision and values.
