Job summary

Community Options, Inc. is seeking a Contract Registered Nurse (RN) in Amarillo, TX to deliver high-quality nursing care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in community-based settings.

The RN will use nursing processes and collaborate with individuals, families, and interdisciplinary teams. This contract role will have hours set by program needs and contract terms.

Qualifications

• BSN or equivalent nursing degree.
• Minimum of one year nursing experience with individuals with disabilities.
• Active, valid RN license in good standing.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Contract engagement contingent on background and registry checks.

Responsibilities

• Provide treatments and nursing procedures per physician orders and regs.
• Showcase health management and health teaching with ISP goals.
• Administer medications and perform medication management.
• Prepare health reports and update ISP/PCP with the team.
• Coordinate scheduling of health appointments and follow-ups.
• Complete nursing documentation daily and per schedule.
• Conduct staff trainings on med administration and health topics.
