Job summary

Valence Surface Technologies in West Springfield, MA is hiring an entry-level Customer Order Entry Associate to process purchase orders, communicate with customers and internal teams, and maintain documentation in the quality system. The role requires accuracy, accountability and willingness to work overtime.

Responsibilities include responding to order-status inquiries, routing issues to appropriate departments, and ensuring paperwork is complete and compliant with export controls.

• Able to locate and understand relevant Quality system documentation in the computer system.
• Coordinate with other Valence departments as necessary to answer and resolve customer inquiries and problems.
• Understand and follow company procedures by correctly filling out checklists and notification of superior for all other paperwork problems.
• Order enters customer jobs and releases to appropriate department.
• Competently process paperwork with little or no supervision
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Demonstrates a “High degree of Craftsmanship” which qualifies them to review and enter unusually difficult work competently.
• The employee is expected to possess a degree of “teamwork attitude” exhibited as a “can do demeanor” and flexibility such as a willingness to work overtime, etc.
• Other duties as assigned.

• COMPENSATION RANGE: $20.00 to 23.00 Per hour.
