Job summary

Valence Surface Technologies is seeking a technician to operate within a shop environment in West Springfield, MA. The role involves handling hazardous chemicals and solvents, following ROUTER procedures, and maintaining inventories and documentation, with duties defined by on-the-job training.

The position emphasizes safety, accuracy in paperwork, and minimal supervision while ensuring parts are protected from damage and processes are completed per standard procedures.

Responsibilities

• Navigate Valence on-line system for QWI's, QAP's, Specifications and other documents.
• Maintain and operate inventories, machinery and instruments to safely perform the job function.
• Process paperwork and department clerical functions as part of the role.
• Perform daily, weekly and periodic tasks as defined in OJT.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Follow Valence ROUTER procedures for filling out routers and correcting input mistakes.
• Process job/parts with minimal supervision.
• Avoid damage to parts and protect them from damage.

• Understand, and perform steps defined in the Valence ROUTER, follow Valence procedures on correctly filling out routers, corrections of input mistakes.

• Practice behavior which avoids damage to parts and protects the part from damage.

COMPENSATION RANGE:

$20.00 To $24.00 Per hour.

This position requires access to knowledge and technical data regulated by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Valence Surface Technologies is required to verify that applicants meet ITAR requirements prior to employment for this role.
