Qualifications

• DC Pharmacy Technician license active or in process.
• Minimum 2 years of verified Pharmacy Technician experience in retail, nursing home, medical center, or hospital pharmacy.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs and work in a healthcare setting with PPE.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming customers and assist under supervision of the Pharmacist.
• Review new prescriptions for completeness of patient data.
• Copy insurance data for new prescriptions.
• File completed prescriptions per department standards.
• Supply completed prescriptions to patients awaiting medication pickup.
• Refer medication questions to the Pharmacist.
• Maintain courteous interactions with patients and staff.
• Assist with unpacking, labeling, and stocking incoming products.
• Ensure accuracy of cash register transactions and handle shortages.
• Follow all policies and procedures.
