Job summary

Boeing Company is seeking a software engineer for a contract assignment to develop, deploy and maintain vehicle management software. You will work with cross-functional teams to define requirements, implement features and validate software in accordance with industry standards.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree, 5+ years in C/C++ and SDLC, and an active Secret clearance or higher. Real-time and safety-critical software experience is preferred, with familiarity in MIL-HDBK-516C and DO-178C

Qualifications

• Active Secret Clearance (or higher).
• Bachelor's Degree.
• 5+ years of experience with C/C++.
• 5+ years of experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Experience with Real-Time or Non-Real-Time systems (preferred).
• Experience with safety-critical software development (preferred).
• Experience with MIL-HDBK-516C, MIL-STD-882E, JSSSEH, DO-178C (preferred).
• Active Secret Clearance (duplicate in preferences)
• Experience with fault tolerance, signal processing or control system design (preferred).
• Experience with tools such as Agility, Jira, ClearCase and Git (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Implements, deploys and maintains software systems for vehicle management applications.
• Partners with cross functional engineering teams to identify requirements and specifications.
• Develops vehicle management software and integrates externally-generated functions.
• Develops test plans and test cases for software validation.
• Performs verification, validation and integration for vehicle management software.
• Investigates and resolves software-related issues reported by users or during operation.
• Develops and maintains software documentation.
