Job summary

Snowline Hospice of El Dorado is seeking a Contract Dietitian to provide expert medical nutrition therapy for patients in hospice and palliative care. You will conduct nutrition assessments, develop care plans, educate patients and families, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to support comfort and quality of life.

This role requires RD/RDN credentials and California licensure, with at least two years of clinical nutrition experience.

Qualifications

RD/RDN credential required.
California licensure active.
Minimum 2 years clinical nutrition experience; hospice/palliative care preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work independently with a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments and develop care plans for hospice/palliative patients.
Provide dietary counseling and education to patients, caregivers, and staff.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to align nutrition with care goals.
Monitor patient progress and adjust nutrition recommendations as needed.
Ensure compliance with regulations and best practices in medical nutrition therapy.
Document patient interactions and care plans in EMR in a timely manner.
Stay current with evidence-based guidelines in hospice nutrition.
