Job summary

Kavaliro seeks an experienced Contract Project Manager to lead a large-scale capital equipment installation within an active manufacturing environment. You will manage the project lifecycle from planning through installation, commissioning, and operational acceptance.

The engagement is 9 to 12 months with potential for future opportunities. Travel is periodic with increased onsite presence during installation, startup, and commissioning phases.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience managing capital equipment implementation projects.
• Experience installing equipment in operating manufacturing or processing facilities.
• Proven success delivering projects within fixed production, shutdown, or seasonal implementation windows.
• Experience managing equipment suppliers and external vendors through delivery and acceptance.
• Knowledge of equipment commissioning and performance validation processes.
• Experience managing capital project budgets exceeding $1 million.
• Strong project planning, stakeholder management, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage the overall project schedule and execution plan.
• Coordinate with equipment manufacturers throughout design finalization, testing, delivery, and installation.
• Oversee equipment logistics, shipping coordination, and vendor management activities.
• Manage contractors and cross-functional teams during installation and startup phases.
• Ensure compliance with operational, safety, and quality requirements in an active production environment.
• Lead commissioning activities, performance validation, and final acceptance processes.
• Coordinate training and knowledge transfer for end users and operations personnel.
• Monitor project budgets, timelines, risks, and deliverables to ensure successful project completion.
