Job summary

Airbus Americas, Inc. in Mobile, Alabama seeks a Project Buyer (Contract) to support North America General Procurement. The role focuses on maintaining visibility of contractual and spend data, tender schedules, and transitioning tendering projects to operational ordering.

You will work with Sr/Category Buyers and cross-functional teams to meet schedule and savings targets, escalating risks as needed. Strong procurement experience is required.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of procurement experience with increasing responsibility.
• Project management skills.
• Knowledge of finance, operations, negotiation and communication.

Responsibilities

• Procurement Transactions: facilitate general procurement transactions, ensure contract data and spend visibility, and align ordering with contract scope.
• Drive Sourcing Projects (Call for Tenders): prepare spend analyses, negotiate contracts, and deliver on savings programs.
• Team Leadership: provide leadership and coaching to less experienced team members.
• Procurement & Process Tools Expert: ensure compliance with General Procurement processes and resolve blockages.
• Additional Responsibilities: collaborate with functions to incorporate quality feedback into supplier negotiations and relationships.
