Aufgaben

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain venipuncture and other specimen collection processes clearly and courteously.
• Demonstrate technique with straight and butterfly needles.
• Follow physician orders and verify test requisitions against scripts.
• Package and transport specimens and maintain specimen integrity.
• Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations; attend annual trainings.
• Answer calls and review laboratory results as needed.
