Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification as required by state
• Minimum 6 months' venipuncture experience in fast-paced lab/hospital
• High School Diploma or GED; minimum 1 year experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens and recording maintenance data
• Package specimens for transport and store according to procedures
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients
• Match lab requisition forms to specimen tubes and ensure accurate labeling
• Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations; attend annual trainings
