Htprof is seeking a contract Phlebotomist in Louisville, KY to assist with blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging, and maintaining accurate patient data. The role supports workflow improvements and adherence to safety protocols.

The position requires phlebotomy certification, minimum six months’ experience in a clinical setting, and proficiency with MS Office. Schedule is 8:30am–5pm, Monday to Friday, with a 3-month project duration and potential for permanent hire.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where employed.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Experience performing blood draws and labeling specimens.
• Centrifuge specimens and record maintenance data.
• Decontamination and proper storage of specimens.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients.
• Match requisition forms to specimen tubes and verify test orders.
• Package specimens for transport and maintain required temperatures.
• Follow OSHA and DEP regulations; attend trainings.
• Answer phone calls and review laboratory results to satisfy inquiries.
