Job summary

RNInk in Louisville, KY is seeking a contract phlebotomist to support clinical testing operations. The role runs 8:00am–5:00pm, Monday to Friday, for an initial 3-month project with potential for permanent placement.

You will perform venipuncture, label and process specimens, ensure proper storage, and maintain accurate patient data while adhering to OSHA regulations and department procedures. The position offers benefits and a fast-paced hospital setting experience.

Qualifications

• Valid phlebotomy certification as required by state.
• Minimum 6 months' venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and specimen collection following established protocols.
• Label, centrifuge, and store specimens per procedure; verify accuracy of requisitions.
• Explain venipuncture process to patients in a clear and courteous manner.
• Attend annual department trainings and comply with OSHA and DEP regulations.
