KingRecruitingServices is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract role based in Albany, NY. The position covers multiple locations and offers potential for permanent placement. Schedule typically Monday–Friday with early start times and 3-month+ duration with possible extension.

Responsibilities include blood draws, specimen labeling, data entry, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Prior lab experience and a phlebotomy certification are required.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the employing state.
• Minimum 6 months’ venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED as minimum education.

Responsabilités

• Perform blood draws and label specimens following protocol.
• Centri fuging specimens and recording maintenance data.
• Update patient information and ensure specimen integrity.
• Explain venipuncture procedure clearly to patients.
• Package specimens for transport and ensure proper temperature control.
• Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations and attend trainings.
