Accounting Search is seeking a Phlebotomist for a 3-month contract with potential for permanent placement. The role covers blood draws, specimen labeling, and standard lab processing at Castleton, NY, with alternates to Latham, NY. Schedule includes weekdays and alternating Saturdays.

Responsibilities include collecting specimens, documenting data, and ensuring proper workflow. Requires 2 years of phlebotomy experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Benefits are available.

Qualificações

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting
• High School Diploma or GED required

Responsabilidades

• Perform blood draws and venipuncture procedures.
• Label, centrifuge, and process specimens per procedures.
• Document and record maintenance data and decontamination as required.
• Explain venipuncture and specimen collection processes clearly to patients.
• Follow OSHA and DEP regulations and attend annual department trainings.
• Answer telephone calls and relay laboratory results as needed.
