The Keystone Distinction Group is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract-based position in Spotsylvania, VA. The role supports blood collection, labeling, and specimen processing under established procedures, with attention to accuracy and patient information integrity.

The ideal candidate has a valid phlebotomy certification and at least 6 months of venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting, along with a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where employed.
• Minimum of 6 months' venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and label specimens.
• Collect and store specimens; explain venipuncture process clearly.
• Demonstrate phlebotomy techniques with straight or butterfly needles.
• Match requisitions to specimens; label, centrifuge, and process as required.
• Check test requisitions against scripts to ensure accuracy.
• Package specimens for transport and maintain temperature control.
• Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations and attend trainings.
• Answer inquiries and review laboratory results as needed.
